soaking up the ambiance

These days everyone's busy, busy, busy. And so are we all in Paeroa. It's crazy. We often say "you don't have to be crazy to live here but it helps!" So in the interest of streamlining your visit, we've tailor made tours to suit time constraints:

(Please note: Each tour has a 'Wonders Factor' - How many wonders you can experience)

the 'snapshot'

time: 10 minutes
one wonder

If we can't entice you to stop for longer (did I mention the flash new toilets?), can I suggest the 10 minute tour? You can soak up the bustling atmosphere of main street. Then make a bee-line to the L&P bottle. It sends shivers down your spine – especially in the shade during Winter. Plus you've probably got 3 minutes left for a toilet stop next door at the 'Talking Toilets' – complete with instructions and music.

THE 'LINGERER'

time: 12 hours
three wonders

Welcome to the Two Hour Tour. if you 're old then you'll definitely like antiques. You might want a stuffed pigeon? Then head up to Primrose Hill past Bench Henge. Have a rest on Bench Henge. Then climb to the top of Primrose Hill. Gasp in amazement as you take in the surrounding mega-views. Knock, knock! It's a photo opportunity! And you can see the bridge. That's three Wonders! Tick! Tick! Tick!

THE 'LOST WEEKEND'

time: all weekend
seven wonders

If you haven't got 3 days then 2 days is the next best thing. Paeroa has a vibrant nightlife and has loads of amazing places to stay – "Ola! Is that the Casa Mexicana? Si it is! Tie up your donkey and get some rest" – Paeroa beckons…Take your pick – will you start with the bridge? The other bridge? Or just race to the bottle? Don't blow it though because there's still the car-on-the-shed-roof and Bench Henge. Then conquer the mighty Waihou on the deck of the SS The River Boat before it's time to whip out the ruler and measure the cat with the longest tail. And if it's sunny he'll be on his back – No, he's not dead! He's sleeping! Lol!
